The NFL Players Who Keep Us Tuning In

The NFL should consider releasing its own version of The National Enquirer, as it’s no stranger to gossip and scandal. The following people are amazing football players, but they also keep us interested post-season. Their lives play out like soap operas, and football fans are eager to know more details about their personal lives, successes, and unfortunate misfortunes. The only thing missing from this juicy post is the popcorn. So, pop a bag, sit back, and enjoy the drama.

Tom Brady Deflated American Hero

Deflategate (aka Ballghazi) remains a buzz word, even deep into the off-season, because it’s the most publicized scandal to rock the NFL in recent years. In the AFC Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts, the New England Patriots used underinflated footballs resulting in a scandal that caused many to wonder if the Patriots cheated.

It was determined by NFL special prosecutor Ted Wells that there’s no real evidence to conclude the Patriots cheated. In fact, Deflategate may have been overinflated, sensationalized news, but that didn’t stop many from demanding penalties against The Patriots. Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl quarterback Tony Romo put it best when he said: “I also feel like we’re really going to another level because it’s this team [The Patriots] that has been so successful and they’re trying to just bring ‘em down.”

In celebrity news, it was reported that Tom Brady’s wife was furious at him due to the Deflategate scandal. Celeb gossip rag, Globe, reported that Brady could be cheating on his gorgeous ex-supermodel wife, and that she is concerned they’ll be broke if he loses his ability to play. In the end, Brady faces a possible 4-game suspension; hopefully, that isn’t enough to end the couple’s long relationship.

Adrian Peterson Beats the Odds

Adrian Peterson used a switch to punish his child, as was reported by his wife. In a move that nearly ruined his career, Mrs. Peterson reported the incident. Peterson narrowly avoided jail time by copping to a plea deal; he pled no contest to a reckless assault misdemeanor.

Since then, Peterson has worked hard to clean up his image. After accepting the deal, Peterson told reporters: “I truly regret this incident. I take full responsibility for my actions,” and “I’m just glad this is over and I can put this behind me.” Putting it behind him is going to require 80 hours of community service and the successful completion of a parenting class. Moreover, he was fined $4,000 for the crime.

Peterson was signed to the Vikings, and will continue to play pro-football.

Juicy Juice NFL Style

It’s impossible to keep up with all the NFL’s juiciest gossip using only regular media outlets. Their focus seems to be on celebrities, such as Kim Kardashian, and not on what’s happening in the NFL. And, with election campaigns underway, it’s unlikely you’ll catch all the behind-the-scenes stuff, until you’re a subscriber to dedicated football channels, such as Sunday Ticket.

original

What is NFL Sunday Ticket? It’s a comprehensive football package that allows you to catch every single game as it airs, and all the drama happening off-screen. It’s not all gossip, but if there’s gossip to be shared, you can bet Sunday Ticket is airing it.

Summer is just starting, and there’s no telling who is going to become addicted to substances, who is going to murder someone (OJ, Aaron Hernandez), or who is going to cheat on his wife. Scandal will continue to rock the NFL, but will you be there to catch it all? Make your best channel choice to keep up with the offseason drama and have a seat. Just don’t forget the popcorn (you know, so you have

something to throw at the screen).
