FM: What is your name?
LP: Lisa Petrucci
FM: Do you have a nick-name?
LP: Liddle Lisa
FM: How tall are you?
LP: 5’ 0”
FM: What exactly are you wearing right now?
LP: Leopard Pajamas
FM: List 5 quirky things about yourself.
- I’m obsessed with gaudy costume jewelry and shoes.
- I talk to my cats all day long.
- Being a perfectionist, I prefer to do everything myself.
- I stand (not sit) while using my laptop computer.
- I talk old-timey and break into song and dance at random.
FM: How would your best friend describe you?
LP: You’d have to ask her!
FM: If someone wrote a biography on your life , what do you think the title should be?
LP: Good Girl Gone Bad
FM: Describe a time/event in your life that you’re nostalgic for.
LP: I long for the days before the internet came into our lives! It was more fun to discover and research new things. There was also more actual human interaction. Now the world and information (good and bad) is at your fingertips, which I’m not sure is such a good thing.
FM: What were you like as a child?
LP: Quiet and shy, but always curious and eager to learn new things.
FM: What did you do growing up that got you into trouble?
LP: I ran away from home
FM: What’s something about yourself that no one knows?
LP: It wouldn’t be something no one knows if I told you!
FM: As a teenager where did you think you would be now ?
LP: I didn’t have a clue back then. But I can honestly say that I didn’t envision my life as it is now! I’m doing and have done things I never dreamed possible!
FM: Have you ever felt hopeless? How did you get through it?
LP: I think everybody has felt hopeless at one time or another. I’ve always depended on my own inner strength to get through the tough times.
FM: If you weren’t doing what you are doing now, what do you think you would be doing?
LP: Join the circus or a carnival.
FM: What motivates you in life?
LP: The opportunity to constantly be learning more and to develop as a fully-formed individual living up to my potential.
FM: What makes you angry ?
FM: What brings you the most joy?
LP: My husband Mike, my friends, and my cats. My collections too.
FM: What do you collect ?
LP: I seriously collect LOTS of things! Vintage dolls and toys, kitsch, big eye art, tiki and Hawaiiana, circus and movie memorabilia, men’s magazines and pulps, way too many things to list!
FM: Describe your home in 6 words or less.
LP: Pop Culture Emporium
FM: What’s the weirdest item you’ve ever mourned losing?
LP: A fringed black leather jacket at The Cramps back in the 1980s. Someone stole it while I was dancing at the show!
FM: Do you have any obsessions right now?
LP: Old television shows: Dark Shadows, George Burns & Gracie Allen Show
FM: What is your greatest extravagance?
LP: My 2004 cherry red PT Cruiser. I bought it brand new and paid cash.
FM: What is your guilty pleasure?
LP: Cake and crummy television
FM: If you could buy anything regardless of cost, what would you buy?
LP: Every comic book from 1939-1979 for my husband Mike
FM: What do you daydream about?
LP: Being at the ocean without a care in the world.
FM: What do you think about before falling asleep?
LP: All the stuff I should be doing the next day! Or what I just watched on tv!
FM: What were you doing last night at Midnight?
LP: Watching tv (see a pattern here?)
FM: Who was the last person you talked to last night before you went to bed?
LP: My husband Mike.
FM: What is your favorite sound?
LP: My cats purring.
FM: What is your favorite song?
LP: The Girl Can’t Help It
FM: If you could choose a superhero power, What would it be, And how would you use it.

FM: How do you describe your work?
LP: Naughty, but nice pop art
FM: What are you going to do next?
LP: Working on a new series of large-scale paintings for my solo show in January 2013 at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles.
FM: Who are your main inspirations?
LP: Margaret Keane, Bettie Page, Doris Wishman, Gracie Allen
FM: Which stars, if any leave you star struck?
LP: Of the people I’ve met and known, Lux Interior and Poison Ivy. I could barely utter a word when we first met!
FM: Whom do you despise?
LP: Michael Buble. He ruins every song he sings.
FM: If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
LP: To speak and understand Italian fluently
FM: Do you know how to cook?
LP: Yes! I make awesome Italian food!
FM: What do you think about and are the first three things you do first after waking up in the morning?
LP: Pee, feed cats, get a cup of tea.
FM: Do you have a bucket list? List some things on it
LP: Mine would be to go toJapan, Tahiti andEaster Island. And to live with all my best gal-pals when we’re old ladies, like the Golden Girls. I feel as though I’ve lived a very full life up to this point.
FM: Do you believe in karma?
LP: Absolutely. It seems when I’m being good, nice things happen. But when I’m bad, all hell breaks loose!
FM: What’s the sweetest thing anyone’s ever done for you?
LP: A friend gave me a treasured doll from her collection that I had long admired.
FM: Which causes do you believe in the most in?
LP: Big Cat Rescue. It’s shameful that we even have to be concerned about their extinction! Poaching and killing lions, tigers and leopards is just plain wrong!
