New York City Denies Gay Couple Marriage License

Valentines day wedding ceremonies at City Hall are a romantic tradition that have been carried out  for many years, This year however , Rob Lassegue and his Fiance  José Manuel Reyes mounted a respectful protest to Marriage inequality.

Michael Lavers at EDGE reports: “To highlight the lack of marriage equality in New York, Rob Lassegue and José Manuel Reyes unsuccessfully tried to apply for a marriage license at New York City’s Marriage Bureau on Monday, Feb. 14. The Rev. Pat Bumgardner of the Metropolitan Community Church of New York married Lassegue and Reyes and a straight couple in a park across the street from the Marriage Bureau after the protest.”
