Fashion Week dialogue is popping up sporadically as the freezing air reminds us of imminent February and the global fashion circus that will ensue. Norway has inspired more than preliminary small talk, however, with their official ban on animal pelts from Oslo Fashion Week. While some designers will undoubtedly feel repressed by this notion, over 200 industry insiders have rallied behind the movement. Among those in support are seasoned designer Leila Hafzi and Norwegian Elle. Whether this bold move will cause a chain reaction, it’s still to be seen. (ECouterre)
