â€˜BEETLEJUICEâ€™ ACTOR GLENN SHADIX DIES
Glenn Shadix, best known for his role as Otho in the movie â€˜Beetlejuice,’ is dead at the age of 58. The cause of the actor’s death is believed to be an accident. Reports suggest that he fell out of his wheelchair and suffered a blow to the head. Read more about the tragedy, and a biography below.

As a biography, William Glenn Shadix was born on April 15, 1952 in Bessemer, Alabama. He was openly gay. For his collegiate years he went to Birmingham-Southern, and then relocated to NYC. After living some time in New York he relocated again, this time to Hollywood, California. He rose to fame after landing a role in â€˜Beetlejuice,’ which his agent advised him to pass up.
Fortunately Shadix ignored his agent’s misinformed advice. During filming for the movie Burton and Shadix struck up a friendship, which resulted in them making two more films together â€“ â€˜The Nighmare Before Christmas’ and â€˜Planet of the Apes’. He has appeared in numerous films and television shows â€“ follow this linkto learn about his other roles. In winter of 2008 his Queen Anne Victorian home was burnt to ashes in a fire. About the fire he sadly said, â€œI have lost my dream.â€ He died on September 7, 2010.
He left behind his sister Susan Gagne, and spouse Jon Jong.
