Madonna: My Pretty Pony?

As yet another RaMadonna, High Holy Week of The Lady Ciccone (birthday, August 17) comes to a close- let us reflect on one of the more mysterious episodes in The Blonde One’s recent history. In the Spring of 2009, ‘Madge’ aka ‘Esther’, aka ‘Old Yella’ “had been thrown off a horse that had been startled by paparazzi” according to her press rep. This ‘accident’ follows a 2005 incident outside London wherein the ‘singer’ had another fall from a horse, cracking three ribs and breaking her collarbone and her hand. (unfortunately, not the hand she writes lyrics with).

Interestingly, these alleged equine catastrophes didn’t stop ‘Mistress Dita’ from recording, touring, doing yoga, or sucking the life force out of sexy young rough trade from South America. While it’s clear that the gal once known as ‘Veronica Electronica’ is a legendary pop superstar; fashion trendsetter and glamour icon, one has to wonder- were these injuries merely a PR cover for cosmetic work? Was she recuperating from actual injuries, or did she have plastic surgeons ‘get into the groove’ of her crows feet and laugh lines? Industry insiders say that the dance music diva has fought hard to keep up with her younger competition (the fabulous Lady Gaga, the brain dead Katy Perry etc) by having a face lift and going overboard with the chipmunk cheek implants.

Pony ride gone bad, or plastic surgery addict? You decide. Either way, for 52, the bitch looks damn good. Happy ‘Holiday’s- it’s time to celebrate!
