What Makes a Legend Drink More?

Legendary drag performer, alcoholic and all around hot mess of a diva MargOH Channing wowed the crowd at The Duplex cabaret with her show “What Makes a Legend Drink More?: MargOH! on the Rocks”. This ‘fish monger’s daughter from Bangor, Maine’ dazzled the crowd with song, dance and comedy, all while bringing her blood alcohol content to near fatal levels right on stage. The show, featuring The Jarad Astin Trio, MAN-ee Champagne, The MargOH!-tinis, and a special appearance by singer-songwriter Nellie McKay, was a whirlwind of sequins, music and old style Hollywood Glamour. From her humble beginnings to her torrid trysts with famous men such as Fidel Castro (“You may call it date rape, but I call it free rum”) and Tiger Woods (“I slept with him when he’d hit rock bottom; he had me after the girl with the dead tooth”), hers is a story of tragedy, triumph, and a severe Liza Minelli obsession. MargOH is more than just a future candidate for a liver transplant- she’s one hell of a broad and a true star.  I’ll drink to that!
