Raffaella CarrÃ

Raffaella Carrà

This Italian diva and icon knows how to properly stage a production number. Raffaella Carrà is a well-known, loved and respected tv and music personality in her home country of Italy. She had many pop/dance hits in the 70’s and 80’s. This is just one gorgeous example of her talents. Watch her backup dancers give it their all. They do kicks and turns and 5, 6, 7, 8’s as if their lives depend on it. Way before Britney and Janet this triple-threat superstar was letting the children have it! Listen out for the part in the music that sounds a lot like it was borrowed from the song Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles.

This twin-sational duo have been a staple in the NYC Underground scene, having performed at notable hot spots including Irving Plaza, Santos Party House, Crowbar, CBGB, Roxy, Knitting Factory, Splash, to name a few. They earned notable success as former members of the underground rap sensation, DaLipstyxx. They are known to never take themselves too seriously while having fun wherever they go.

    Love it, thanks!
But I just have to say that Raffaella is very well know beyond Italy. She’s been a constant in Spanish pop scene and television. She recorded various of her most popular songs and albums in Spanish and thus is very famous all not only in Spain but in Latin America too… she also recorded some songs in French, German and even English. She’s also know in Britain.
    Grande, Raffaella!
